The BWN Scholarship Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been making a difference in the lives of professional women in Howard County since 2000 through its Lifelong Learner Scholarship. We couldn’t do it without the incredible support of donors and sponsors who believe in investing in the future of women in the community.
BWN is focused on giving back and supporting women in their professional careers. To continue our legacy of supporting the career goals of women in Howard County, we need businesses, organizations and individuals to sponsor scholarships. By sponsoring a $1,500 scholarship, you are making an incredible impact.
Options for Support
- Business or organization sponsorship of a full $1,500 scholarship
- Individual sponsorship of a full $1,500 scholarship
- Join with others and create a group sponsor of one $1,500 scholarship
- Dedication scholarships such as a legacy in honor or in memory of someone special.
- Host a scholarship fundraising event on behalf of the BWN Lifelong Learner Scholarship program
- Participate in BWN’s annual Holiday Basket Raffle at the December luncheon
- Donations of any amount always make a difference

Past fundraising events have included a stand-up paddle board night, golf apparel sale, a book and greeting card sale, and a silent auction, among others.

Establish Your Legacy
Through the generous support of local businesses, organizations and individuals, BWN’s Scholarship Foundation has provided more than $80,000 in scholarships since 2000. Each year BWN awards up to eight Lifelong Learner Scholarships with two $1,500 scholarships funded and awarded to women attending a degree or certification program at Howard Community College through our partnership with the Howard Community College Educational Foundation.
